Position Title: Prep Cook
Location: 404 Celsius, Senoia, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time


Overview:

The Prep Cook plays a crucial role in our kitchen, ensuring all ingredients and items are prepared and ready for the day’s service. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.


Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Ingredient Preparation:
  • Wash, peel, chop, and prepare vegetables and fruits according to the recipes and specifications.
  • Measure and mix ingredients for sauces, dressings, and marinades.
  • Prepare proteins (e.g., marinating, portioning) as designated by the chef or kitchen manager.
  1. Station Setup:
  • Organize and set up prep stations with all necessary tools and ingredients for smooth operations during service.
  • Ensure that all equipment, utensils, and surfaces are clean and sanitized before beginning work.
  1. Inventory Management:
  • Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries, ensuring the quality and freshness of products.
  • Label and store ingredients properly in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager.
  1. Adhering to Recipes:
  • Follow standard recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency and quality in food preparation.
  • Document any adjustments or substitutions made to recipes for future reference.
  1. Cleaning and Sanitation:
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the shift.
  • Follow proper food safety protocols, including temperature controls and cross-contamination prevention.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces at the end of the shift.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure that all preparations align with daily menu requirements.
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff on proper prep techniques and safety standards when necessary.

  • Efficiency: Work quickly and efficiently to prepare ingredients and maintain organization.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred but not required.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to work effectively with team members.
