Overview:

The Kitchen Manager / Lead Cook at 404 Celsius is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring that food preparation meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership skills and culinary expertise will drive the success of the kitchen and contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Kitchen Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  1. Staff Management:
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and prep team members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Schedule staff shifts, manage labor costs, and foster a positive team environment.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on food items and ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
  1. Recipe Development:
  • Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
  • Maintain an organized recipe database for consistency and training purposes.
  1. Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation practices.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on safety procedures and equipment use for kitchen staff.
  1. Collaboration with Front of House:
  • Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders, special requests, and timing of service.

Qualifications:
