Overview:
As an Upscale Dining Server at 404 Celsius, you will provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests, showcasing excellent service, attention to detail, and a thorough knowledge of our menu. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that each guest enjoys their meal to the fullest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Interaction:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, providing menus and answering any initial questions.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor throughout the dining experience, building rapport with guests.
- Menu Knowledge:
- Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including food and beverage offerings, to provide accurate recommendations and answer questions.
- Stay informed about daily specials, ingredient sourcing, and preparation methods.
- Order Taking and Service:
- Take guest orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all details are noted for kitchen staff.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring the presentation meets the restaurant’s standards.
- Table Maintenance:
- Monitor tables for guest needs, refilling drinks, clearing plates, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining experience.
- Anticipate guest needs, providing exceptional service without being intrusive.
- Upselling and Promotions:
- Suggest additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, and specialty drinks, to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Promote restaurant events and specials to guests.
- Collaboration with Staff:
- Work closely with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth service and prompt communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed about menu changes and service standards.
- Payment Processing:
- Present checks to guests and process payments accurately, ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions according to restaurant policies.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a server in an upscale dining or fine dining establishment is preferred.

- Customer Service Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for providing outstanding service.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, carry trays, and move quickly in a busy dining environment.
