Overview:
As a Sauté Cook at 404 Celsius, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes using sautéing techniques, which is essential to our menu’s flavor profile and visual appeal. Your expertise in cooking and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cooking Techniques:
- Prepare a variety of dishes using sautéing methods, ensuring proper cooking temperatures and techniques are used to achieve optimal flavor and texture.
- Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately to maintain consistency and quality in dishes.
- Ingredient Preparation:
- Prepare and pre-cook ingredients such as vegetables, proteins, and sauces necessary for sauté dishes.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and ready for use during service.
- Station Management:
- Maintain an organized and clean sauté station, ensuring that all necessary tools and ingredients are readily available.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Collaboration with Team:
- Work closely with other cooks and kitchen staff to coordinate the flow of food orders and ensure timely delivery of dishes.
- Communicate effectively with the front-of-house staff regarding special requests and order statuses.
- Presentation and Quality Control:
- Plate and garnish dishes in an appealing manner, adhering to the restaurant’s presentation standards.
- Ensure all dishes are served at the correct temperature and meet quality standards before leaving the kitchen.
- Sanitation and Safety:
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment.
- Clean and sanitize cooking equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly.

- Efficiency: Work quickly and effectively to prepare dishes during busy service periods while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a sauté cook or in a similar role is preferred.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to work effectively with team members.
