Position Title: Appetizer and Salad Station Cook

Overview:

As an Appetizer and Salad Station Cook at 404 Celsius, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of appetizers and salads that are crucial to our menu. Your creativity and attention to detail will ensure that every dish meets our high standards for quality and presentation, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of Appetizers:
  • Prepare a variety of appetizers, including but not limited to dips, finger foods, and small plates, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure all appetizers are prepared fresh and are ready for service during peak hours.
  1. Salad Preparation:
  • Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients for salads, ensuring the use of fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Create and mix dressings and sauces as required for various salad options.
  1. Station Organization:
  • Maintain a clean and organized station, ensuring that all ingredients and tools are readily available and properly stored.
  • Monitor inventory levels of appetizer and salad ingredients, communicating needs to the kitchen manager.
  1. Presentation and Plating:
  • Assemble and plate appetizers and salads with a focus on visual appeal and consistency.
  • Ensure that all dishes are served at the appropriate temperature and with proper garnishes.
  1. Collaboration with Kitchen Staff:
  • Work closely with other kitchen team members, including line cooks and chefs, to coordinate the flow of orders.
  • Communicate effectively about order statuses and any special requests from guests.
  1. Sanitation and Safety:
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all appetizers and salads meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, presentation, and freshness.
  • Efficiency: Work quickly and efficiently, especially during busy service periods, to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to portion sizes, ingredients, and plating to maintain consistency.
  • Team Player: Collaborate effectively with the entire kitchen staff to create a cohesive and efficient working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred, particularly in appetizers or salad preparation.
  • Culinary Skills: Knowledge of various cooking techniques and presentation styles for appetizers and salads.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to work well within a team.
